The outside isn't much to look at. Then I went in. The inside isn't much to look at either. I started reading the signs and donations contributions and realized it's a truly authentic classic place that makes you feel so welcome. I thought to myself I wouldn't change a thing. Its like I could tell the owner has a great heart. The food portions are generous. I shouldn't have 4 containers for 1 10 dollar meal but I do. I love how much I got. It's also delicious. I love this place.

Best omelette/breakfast I’ve never had, I go to a lot of diners stopped in 11/17/19 after Penn State football weekend. Highlight of my Sunday drive home. Western with cheddar cheese and Hashbrowns with a side of bacon.

Cozy quiet home style diner. Simple menu with lots of options. Portion sizes and price are great. Has an old time type of feel and you can usually snatch up some local bakery desserts and some other local stuff. Waitresses are friendly and attentive.Just a really comfortable atmosphere like home. Clean and lots of decor to make you smile, which you can purchase if you like.

Was very busy. So slow on getting food. But was worth the wait. Good food and good prices. Will return again

Had lunch on 07/14/2019. DH got the Sunday "special" - stuffed chicken, mashed potatoes w/gravy, lima beans, salad, roll and cranberry jell. He said the chicken was dry and really needed the cranberry. Also said the stuffing was gelatinous. I got crab cakes, sweet potato fries, baked corn, coleslaw and a roll. Came with tartar sauce; not a fan and the cakes were very good, as is. The coleslaw was tasty and the fries were wonderful.(DH shared his cranberry sauce, which was awesome!) The rolls were soft and served with butter that was spreadable. Half of my food went in a to-go box. We also got a slice of coconut cream and blackberry pie. DH said the coconut was really good. (He did not share.) With 2 large teas, our bill was a little over $38. The place is ancient and old-fashioned. There's a path worn into the tiles in front of the kitchen. It's like Sunday dinner at Grandma's.Four stars because of the chicken.

Independently-run restaurant offering quality food at at a reasonable price, right off I-80! Ask for the breakfast menu if they only give you the lunch/dinner menu, as they serve breakfast all day and the breakfast menu is where they shine.

Good food with friendly service. Large portions at medium prices. Good comfort food. Don't expect vegan or non gluten, except maybe one option. This is people friendly food.

Our food choices were good to excellent and reasonably priced. We arrived shortly after a super rush and service was probably shower than normal. Our waitress was very helpful with menu choices. We were traveling but if we are back in this area in the future we would return. A nice, homey place with good food and excellent service.

Quaint little restaurant...just yards off the interstate 80...u can buy their displays maybe certain ones...I did...quite small restaurant..friendly wait staff..went there recently and it looked like they were setting up an ice cream section..we'll see...home cooked style dishes...salad then main dish and dessert your set and satisfied for the road...small parking lot..believe or not.. big truck drive thru back around horse shoe style...easy to find location near I 80 highway across the street from Pilot truck stop....next door to car fix garage and Quality inn.

We pre-ordered a banana cream pie on Thursday for my father's birthday, my mother went to pick it up today, Saturday and she waited 25 minutes for it to be brought out, so I assume they forgot to make it. Which would've been no big deal if they told us. We got the pie home and it's completely wrong. It looks like they threw filling and intosone bananas into a crust and sent it out. There's no whipped topping which we always received when ordering previously. The filling is clumpy and gross. Completely disappointed because we've always received great pies from here. Truly a disappointment.UPDATE: They offered to remake our pie and then only offered a refund when they saw our one star review. Very poor customer service :(

Love this place when going to state college. About half way. Home made style foods.easy on and off interstate 80. Marvelous prices.

Somewhat disappointed. We stopped here five years ago at random. Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We've stopped several times since and enjoyed again. Not this time. Food was average. Service OK. Out of dinner rolls at 5:30? Something or someone is slacking off, or maybe it was just an off Thursday. We'll try again.

We ate lunch here and every thing was good. The price was great for the meal we got. The whole meal was the price you would pay for just the sandwich somewhere else. We are planning on eating here when in the area. The service was great too.

Nice little place. Portions were extremely large. It was so loud in there though I had to repeat my order a few times to the waitress. The breakfast was great but the lunch was not so good. The Gravy for the open faced roast beef tasted too much like fat with no real flavor to compensate. The #1 Bone in Ham slice breakfast was large and full of flavor. I will have to try them again to really be able to get a real feel for the place and consistency.

Slow terrible service(waited 1 hour). Nasty mushy microwaved food. Dirty bathroom and restaurant. Dont recommend and dont listen to the local reviews the place is awful.

The place was super cute, staff was fantastic and omg the food. Not only was it wonderful food but there was a lot of it. Lots of choices on the menu and everything was great. Like walking into your southern grannies kitchen.

Place is dirty, it looks like they never clean. Food was horrible! It was tasteless and reminded me of the horrible food my highschool had. I would not reccomend this place at all. McDonald's would have been a better choice and I don't even eat fast food.

Huge portions. Could only eat half. Food was excellent home cooking and the staff was friendly.

My family stumbled upon this restaurant years ago - literally by accident and out of necessity. My parents loved the liver & onions ... fortunately for us kids, they have other tasty options on the menu. Quality of food and service keeps us coming back on purpose every time we're driving through.

This restaurant was dirty, the fish was over done, burnt. The rest was nothing special. The tables were back to back ..none of the staff wore masks. They were not even wiping tables off in between customers. The bathrooms were filthy. And the cakes in the freezer have been in there a very long time. They were frost burnt. The whole place gave off small dirty hole in the wall vibe. Never again!

Great food you get your money's worth.My family eats here for all 3 of us the bill is usually 20$. Service is amazing friendly and food is so tasty. Wait time isn't long either especially Thanksgiving day we may have waited for 15-20 minutes. Highly recommend giving them a try😁

Definitely do not get any of the burgers over priced frozen patties. All dry and no flavor other than the topping. Go across the hwy to Denny's you get better food for the same price

Very nice and locally owned eatery right off of interstate 80. The breakfasts were amazing and plentiful portions as well. They also have homemade ice cream and some very interesting flavors! Definitely worth a stop and a restaurant to break the monotony of fast food locations at any exits of the highway.

The Bacon and Cabbage and homemade Mashed Potatoes we're good. The Grilled Cheese and Bean Soup were also really good. We would stop here again if in the area.

Great homemade food at a reasonable price.

Took 40 minutes to get our food and it wasn't busy. The food was good when we finally got to eat it. The restaurant needs to be cleaned up. Service was adaquate. Food was reasonably priced.

Absolutely delicious ham and bean soup, staff is friendly and helpful. A nice stop just off of route 80.
